A fantastic day for our first team gave us the full 20 points against a strong Sidmouth outfit.
Having won the toss and electing to bowl on what looked like a belting pitch from fred, we started taking wickets from the off.Eggs bowling hanks in his first over and with Burkey and Eggs looking like every ball was a wicket taker we took wickets at regular intervals.Andy bowled with great contol and made very good players look like it was the first time they had ever picked up a bat.Burkey does what he does every time he gets on the field but we really should appreciate just how well he is bowling!!!!
After a last wicket partnership lost us the game last week we managed to run through the tail and 55 all out was as many as they could have got- 2 drop catches and a poor decision from the umpire after a big big nick behind was not given saw them scrape to 55!!

Hey Luke,

I don't get to the PCC site as much as in the past. Congratulations on the Captaincy. Told Luke (my son) last night and he was really impressed that the club juniors (as he knew them) are making their mark.

Who would have thought that the skinny kid playing U13s all that time ago was the future 1st Captain? Just goes to show that blokes like Ted Brankin and Alex Stinchcomb (spelling????)were right.

Dave,

What can be said. The decision to give up the Captaincy when the goal is in site is one of a leader not just a player who became captain.

Keep it going Plymouth hope all goes well and I look forward to seeing you all again some time.

Graeme Swinbourne
