Plymouth Cricket Club offers the opportunity for ANYBODY who wants to play cricket and was the first cricket club in Devon to be awarded ClubMark accreditation from Sport England – designating the club as a safe and child friendly environment. The Club has adopted the ECB SAFE HANDS - Welfare of Young People in Cricket policy and has an appointed Welfare Officer.
If you are a young player that would like to join Plymouth Cricket Club you simply need to attend training for the age group you belong to. We operate 6 junior teams as follows:
U10: 8 a-side hardball competing in the West Devon Palladium U11 league. For all children in school Year 5 and below.
U11: 8 a-side hardball competing in the West Devon Palladium U11 league. For all children in school Year 6.
U12: 11 a-side hardball competing in the West Devon Palladium U13 league. For all children in school Year 7.
U13: 11 a-side hardball competing in the West Devon Palladium U13 league. For all children in school Year 8.
U15: 11 a-side hardball competing in the West Devon Palladium U15 league. For all children in school Years 10 & 11.
As there is no local U17 league school aged children in school years 11 and above are eligible to play senior cricket.
