Plymouth Cricket Club
Chance to Shine

Plymouth Cricket Club are pleased to be part of the Cricket Foundation's Chance to Shine initiative. Chance to shine is the single biggest school-sport development initiative ever undertaken in Britain. It recognises the power of competitive cricket to help young people acquire skills, values and attitudes. The campaign aims to raise £25m of private funding to create sustainable cricket cultures within one third of all state schools in England and Wales over an initial period of 10 years.

The money raised pays for clubs to provide coaching is state schools in their local areas. Plymouth Cricket Club have partnered with 7 schools in the Devonport, Keyham, Hoe and Stoke areas of Plymouth and will be providing almost 25 hours of coaching per week in these schools.

Pupils from these schools are invited to attend FREE taster sessions held by the club through the month of May in the hope that they will eventually take up cricket as a sport, hobby or interest.
