Our poor form continues and is getting worst.

We started the season with talk of being being in the promotion running but with 4 games left we are as good as relegated and the game against bottom league side Whichurch showed why.
We all knew the pressure on each other and how important this game was, but with the inclusion of last week 1st team opening bowler Dinuka Kuruppu bolstering our team and then winning the toss leading Roy to putting them in on a soft green wicket. You would think we would run through them like a knife through warm butter and at 17-4 with their opening bat also back in the pavillion nursing a bashed foot you would be forgiven in thinking that a well needed victory was on the cards but Andy Alford and Adrian Towl batted together for 25 overs putting on 61 had other ideas. We could even bowl them out as they posted 119-9, Dinuka ended up with 5-25 but we had let them off the hook and gave them a sniff.
After tea we went out to bat and to be fair the wicket was getting better, Nigel Hughes and James Rothwell cruised to 42 without any trouble except for the bowl that get Nigel out, Abo went out and was out after 3 balls trying to smash a six Dinuka and James added 19 and at 80 odd fo 2 things again looked good. But this weeks classic Plymouth collapse was the most spectacular as we crashed to 88 all out this has been our problem all season doing the hard yards in the field then batting like idiots.
I feel that the E division is where we belong and as a club we have to think what the lower 2 teams are there for, do we balance the teams we put out or do we say the best 11 in the 1st team and the least able in the 4ths. On a personal note I think that the 3rds and 4ths sould be a breading ground for the future with a few seasoned players helping coach the youngster the game.The 2nd team should be a finishing school where youngster get to know the harder side of cricket and what courage they need to claim a 1st team spot. The 1st should be at the pinacle of the club and with the honor goes the hard work, trainning and guts to play as hard as they can.
Thats my season over with could someone please text me scores over the last few games. Hope you enjoy the rest of the season and with no pressure play without inhibitions.
