Still top of the league!!
Apologies for not having given the news before on the progress of the Sunday team. Fo those that don't know we are still top and our position was further strengthened when Coaver 'cried off' last Sunday. They said they could not raise a side but I think they didn't want to face again the match winners of our last outing against them up in Exeter - namely Harry K & Matt Sewell!! They put on a league record 160 for the 4th wicket.
We are currently 16 points clear with just 2 more games to go. Our closest rivals, Kingsbridge have 3 more games to play so we are not there yet. Although we lost against them recently,well done to Macca for both his bowling & batting. Once again this shows that our decision to play 15 year olds at this level is great experience for them.
We are favourites to win the league if we keep playing to our potential. If there are any senior players available for our next two matches (31st July & 4th Sept) please let me know. Your help & support to this very young & inexperienced team is very much appreciated.
