Peverell complete their league season by thumping Tavistock and securing at least a share of the league title.

Plymouth Peverell completed their League fixtures with an away match at Tavistock, the outcome of this match was likely to have a big say in who would win the league title.
Tavistock won the toss and invited Plymouth to bat on a damp wicket. The Plymouth openers Pasi Mawalage and Harry Barnes made a good start in difficult conditions putting on 73 for the first wicket before Harry Barnes was out for 29. Pasi Mawalage carried on with his attacking innings and completed his half century before being caught on the leg side for 52. The Plymouth batsmen kept up the tempo of the innings and closed on 140 - 4 in their alloted overs, this looked a useful total in the conditions.
In response Tavistock were pegged down by the opening Plymouth bowlers who dismissed the Tavistock top order relatively cheaply, Harry Barnes 4-0 -11 - 1, Jordan Han*censored* 4-0-13-1 and Pasi Mawalage 4 -1 - 13 -1 doing the damage. The asking rate increased and Pavi Mawalage came on to bowl and mopped up the remaining Tavistock middle order finishing with figures of 4 - 2 - 14 - 5. Tavistock completed their overs on 80 -9 giving Plymouth a comfortable 60 run victory.

This has been another great season losing only one league match and only being knocked out of the cup with two balls to spare.
Thank you to all the parents who have lent their support, my trusty scorer Jack but most of all the boys who apart from a couple of matches have played a top standard of cricket throughout the season with individuals achieving very high class performances.
This was my third year as manager of this team and the third year that Jordan Han*censored* has skippered the side, well done two league titles and the Bob Bridges cup still to look forward to.
