Plymouth Cricket Club playing in a friendly environment

ValMonty report

Save to del.icio.us
Cricket the winner over the weather.

In spite of overcast skies and a howling wind the annual ValMonty day went ahead with great enthusiasm.
Roy and Dave served up burgers, Carolyn and Carolyne sold cakes, Fred and Jo dispensed teas and coffees and Jane and Joy sold everyone raffle tickets.
Whilst all this commerce was going on the important part of the day was unfolding between the showers.
As usual I have no idea of who was winning or losing but everyone appeared to be having a great time!
The winning team was captained by James Rothwell ably supported by Mark Rose.
The player of the day, decided by the umpires was Charlie Haynes who took 4 wickets in 4 balls!!
Thank you for taking part and I hope you all had a great day.
Jo
