Abbo's crew continued to prove they are Title challengers following a thrashing of Barton
After predictably losing the toss, Ben Stein and Andy Sewell made a fine start putting on 42 for the opening wicket.
Again, Ben batted well until hooking to fine leg where stalwart Lievesley took the catch.
Andy followed shorly after falling LBW to the same bowler, left armer Stuart Bowker who overall overused his use of the short ball.
New number 3 Nigel Hughes and last week's centurion Jake Foley put on 30 when Jake fell softly and PCC found themselves at 79-4 a run later when Nigel went for a hard earned 8.
Jack Hughes and Pasi then put on 53 highly entertiaing runs - Pas batted beautifully, almost putting the ball where he wanted all along the ground - the best knock of the innings.
Sam Stein provided the fireworks as he scored 51 of the final 77 runs of the innings with some terrrific blows. An excellent knock and his maiden 50. Tony Chapman had retired earlier (hope you're OK) and even Phil managed a run before attempting to late cut a yorker.
So, 209 to defend - Jack tore into the oppo taking the first two wickets And Phil followed up with 2 himself (including an LBW which he didn't appeal for...) This probably made up for the dropped chances that followed and at 64-7, barton were in desparate straights.
Abbo and Nigel took the final 3 wickets (Ben opted out of the wicket takers after a dropping a dolly off his bowling!) after Phil called for his walking frame and the match next week against Paignton should be a cracker.
If everyone continues to do contribute as they have done, I see a win - good luck. Terrific team spirit and Well Done to Pas on keeping wicket admirably.
