Jake Foley hit his maiden 100 as the Thirds gained 5 vitakl points on the top 3 in the division.

First shock - it wasn't raining when we arrived.......
Second shock (NOT!!!!) - Abbo didn't win the toss..........

Dave Watson and Ben Stein (on debuuuuuuuuuut) got the innings off to a very good start posting 72 before Dave was bowled - he had niggled his hamstring the ball before so it seems this contributed. Dave continued his run of scores including a sumptuous straight six.

Ben, to be fair, batted very well indeed - he was caught off a no-ball but displayed a very good sense of building an inings - a cracking square cut was the highlight but well played Ben.

James Morcombe proved Wise (sorry...) to the event when he came in taking a look at the bowling before he was out for 14 in 3 scoring strokes off 29 balls - once again, a bludgeoning six was the highlight.

By trhe james was out, PCC looked well set for a big score but when the rain started, doubts were raised. Amazingly, Axminster stayed out to let Jake reach a 100 whilst the bowlers obviously struggled with the wet ball. He and Stein snr put on 90 for the 4th wicket.

What confidence this will give Jake - well played and let's hope Barton get the same treatment.

Once the 100 had been completed, sense prevailed and the game was abandoned (after Abbo officially declared)

5 VERY important points mean we are joint 3rd - a great position with Paignton still to come.
