Ok its the end of our season and apart from a couple of reverses in cup competitions at the back end of the season, when we were somewhat weakened in certain areas due to holidays, it was a good season. We collected 20 out of a possible 24 points in the league losing just one game and collecting one point from 2 others where the weather beat us, so all in all a good effort. Special thanks must go to all the parents who ferried around the players and me at times. I would like to also say well done to all the players who played for my team this season especially those who gave the most by very often only "making up the numbers NOT" by performing well in the field as many of you didn't get much of a bat or bowl but without your efforts in the field we could not have been competative. It is fair to say we were a bowling side, with little depth to our batting (something to work on during the winter nets). But over the season I have to say we became the best fielding side in the league, a testament is the number of catches taken run-outs completed and stumpings, the score book is a good read, but most of all the number of runs we restricted teams to on some excellent batting tracks well done everyone we have at the very least finished runners up and who knows we are still in with a shout of sharing the title
